2. Thanksgiving

This is where things get serious. For so many people Thanksgiving means family and friends and lots and lots of food and drink. We have bowls and plates full of fattening food and it’s easy to lose track. A handful of potato chips. A few cookies. Too many bottles of beer, a few more cocktails. One more scoop of mashed potatoes. Yes, of course I want gravy! Just one more helping of Grandma’s special pumpkin pie. Yes, of course I want whipped cream! Nuts, candy, then we are all on the couch with our pants open, groaning that our stomachs hurt until half an hour later we are back in the kitchen lifting tin foil off of bowls to pick at the left overs.
