Rapidly growing country met some difficulties during its history. Recenly founded federation was divided into two parts – the Northern and the Southern States which fought by reason of slavery. Though American Revolution established capitalism in America, it wasn’t successful in asbolishing slavery set up there in 1660s. The development against slavery still became wider with the struggle of the American colonies for their freedom from Great Britain. The labour of slaves was very profitable. Most slaves were brought to the South of USA from Africa and forced to work on the cotton plantations. Many people in the North states were against slavery, so in 1861 the Civil War began. It lasted 4 years and was won by the North being regarded as a turning-point of American history. President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancypation Proclamation which freed all Negros from the slavery.
