IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is known to be one of the most popular English tests in the world. 1. Develop your note-taking skills
When passing the IELTS english test, you need to possess one crucial skill which is note-taking. It is helpful in listening, reading, writing and speaking sections, that is, in all sections but mainly in the speaking section as remembering all of the information can be really tough. So, here are some note-taking guidelines. The text will not be seen but only heard. When listening, note the most important information, proper names, words to remember, for example, Lincoln – president – election. If you don’t keep up with the rate of speech, skip some insignificant details and move on. Write down the shortened forms of words or use abbreviations, symbols such as Lin, USA, = (equals), etc.
