We never want to admit it but most of us have bad habits. They can be less or more harmful. We usually suffer from overeating, smoking, drinking an alcohol, etc. There are also not so harmful habits such as nail biting, going to bed late, picking at face and other. They say that where there is a will, there is a way. No matter how long one is addicted to the particular bad substance or activity any bad habit can be broken. Here are some useful and effective tips on how to break any bad habit.
1. Be Aware
The worst thing is not to be aware of the existence of a bad habit. Surprisingly, many people consider some common negative things as normal. To find out whether you have any of known bad habits ask about it people that surround you, your parents, relatives or friends. Also, try to notice from time to time what is tempting for you, perhaps, this is exactly what is called a bad habit. Once you become conscious of some addiction, imagine yourself in the situation when you are doing “that thing” and remember what feelings and circumstances are attached to it. This way you will be able to figure out what is the reason of the particular bad habit.
