1. Don’t Try Lift To Heavy Until You Are Ready

Many people feel bad when they lift the lightest weight on the rack. But guess what, we have all been there, myself included. There is nothing wrong with starting light, you will build the muscle, and over time be lifting more than most in the gym.

An easy way to tell if you are lifting the wrong weight, if you are finding that you can go through a full 10 reps without any struggle you are lifting wrong. However, if you are struggling in the second set, you should definitely lower the weight. Doing a weight that is too heavy for you, can lead to serious injuries.
