3. Connect with Others
Depression can cause a feeling of shame and self-loathing the source of which is isolation. To resolve this problem contact someone outside your home if you stayed alone. It can be an old friend, someone who will understand, support and lift your spirits. Empathy and compassion can help stabilize your mood and increase a level of serotonin which is responsible for mood. Also, try to do something fun for yourself or creative expressing this way your positive emotions.
